It’s time to put what you’ve learned into practice!

There are three challenges to complete in this lesson:

  1. Cash flow and sales forecasting
  2. Identifying your partners and competitors
  3. Creating an experiment plan

Challenge 1: Cash Flow and Sales Forecasting

First, review the Grow-Well examples of a cash flow forecast and this example of a Grow-Well sales forecast. Next, use the templates below to work out your own cash flow and sales forecasts.

Challenge 2: Identifying Partners and Competitors

Identify your partners and competitors, using this worksheet to help you. You’ll need your Landscape of Players analysis to complete this.

My Partners and Competitors

Print the PDF

My Partners and Competitors:

  1. Review your Landscape of Players analysis and identify potential partners and competitors for your business.
  2. Based on the outcomes of your Capabilities and Resources Analysis and Revenue Exploration (i.e., ‘What do I need to make it happen?’ and ‘Where is the money?’) think about the following:
    • Could there be other potential partners or competitors?
    • Is it possible that the roles change depending on your business strategy?
  3. Define your top 5 partners and competitors. For partners, think about what you want from them and what would make them want to work with you. For competitors, think about what they’re really good at and how you could differentiate yourself from them.

Challenge 3: Experiment Plan

Before you start with experiments, it’s essential to create a plan. Use the worksheet below to help you figure out what questions/unknowns you want to answer, and what experiments can help. You’ll need your Capabilities and Resources analysis, as well as your income analysis for this activity.

My Experiment Plan

My Experiment Plan:

  1. Review your capabilities, resources, and revenue analysis, and list your top 3 questions or unknowns.
